The FedEx Ground Salinas station in Watsonville, California sponsored a food collection campaign during the month of December to collect non-perishable food items to donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Cruz County. Second Harvest Food Bank feeds approximately 55,000 people each month with food items generously donated by people within their communities. The Salinas station team members gave back to their community by collecting 6 collection cans of non-perishable food items donated by employees, drivers, and contractors domiciled at the station. The station was able to collect approximately 1,350 food items equating to approximately $1,025 dollars worth of food to feed families in need especially during the holiday season.
